What should I bring?
  • Tent
  • Sleeping bag
  • Base/ground tarp
  • Work clothes: long pants and t-shirts that can get muddy ( you will be working in all weather conditions, we would suggest work clothes for both warm and cold weather)
  • Work boots: comfortable and closed toed (we recommend rubber rain/waterproof boots as it is often wet and muddy)
  • Sunglasses and a hat
  • Flash light and/or headlamp
  • Lightweight rain poncho
  • Sandals
  • Garden gloves
  • Non-DEET mosquito spray
  • Bio-degradable/eco-friendly toiletries and sunscreen
  • Day pack (for island ventures)
  • Light cotton clothing (for comfort in heat)
  • Swimsuit
  • Classroom note book
  • Personal tea/coffee mug and water bottle
  • Water shoes (can be nice for rocky beaches)
  • Suggested items to bring: musical instrument, drawing supplies, pocket knife, yoga mat, your favorite garden tools and books etc.
  • (Note: Pack light, if you find you need something upon arrival we have great thrift stores in the area.)
