ALMOND PORTOBELLO ((Agaricus subrufescens)) is a choice edible, with a somewhat sweet taste and fragrance of almonds. Yum. The fungus is also well known as a medicinal mushroom, for its medicinal properties, due to research which indicates it may stimulate the immune system. We usually find them in our bamboo patch as their natural habitats are wood rich soil, well-composted soil, forest edges, and well-manured grasslands. *Cautious Reminder* - even experienced mushroom pickers are fooled by toxic lookalikes at times, please be careful - check your spore prints and consult others before consumption. ✨
