Nia has been passionately involved in farming for the past four years, driven by a commitment to address the challenges of our dysfunctional food systems and the heavy reliance on imports. Realizing that becoming a farmer was the key to making a meaningful impact, she pursued a certificate in Sustainable Urban Agriculture from Virginia State University. This journey led her to studying farming in Miami to Mt. Shasta, Humboldt, Los Angeles, and now to Hawaii, where she continues to deepen her practice in organic and regenerative farming.
Nia's approach to agriculture is rooted in the belief that farming is a powerful way to reconnect with life and the earth. By focusing on strengthening local food systems and fostering community involvement, she aims to transform how we view and engage with food and our aina. Acts of service are central to her expression for the love of All Life, reflecting her dedication to being a student to the natural and unseen worlds.
